Excellent service. I ordered a late Christmas present, and they quickly dispatched it. It was quick to get hold of someone. I will definitely buy again! Thank you and a very Happy New Year!
I can't justify using Redber any more unfortunately. The consistency in the quality of roast has been declining for a while now, and the deliveries have been taking almost a week.
Now that redber have put their prices up from about £12 per kg to £19 per kg, overnight, with no changes to quality or delivery etc, it's just not really worth it for me anymore. There's also £4 postage to pay on that. My normal delivery cost £14.40 but it's now gone up to around £23.
Shame, since I've been with them for years now, but was already looking for an alternative before the price rises came in.
Looking at other reviews on here, it seems Redber have fallen off a cliff in the last year or so. They must be struggling because their customer service appears to be lacking, they are very reluctant to refund or make things right without photo after photo, discussion after discussion. Their price rise is also simply ridiculous. 60% rise overnight is crazy!! They also used to give away free gift codes with each order, and would happily add it to the subscription if asked, but I don't remember getting a single code this year. Still, they're making consistent profits, increasing by about £50000 year on year, so maybe they're not struggling after all...I am though, so as I say, I can't get on board with these sudden price rises.
Also, while I've had some very inconsistent roasts, every time I've complained, I've felt like it's been long winded getting a replacement or refund. I've been getting the same roast for years so I know if you've burned the beans or haven't roasted them long enough...
They advertised the sage barista impress machine for £615. Then every time you try and buy it, it tells you your cards been declined. I spoke to 5 people and it happened to them too. My partner tried to buy it and it was the same. The low price of the coffee machine is to get people to their website which seems counter-productive as we’ve all decided we will never buy a single thing from this coffee roasters. Horrendous.
Without question the best coffee roasters and distributors in the U.K. You can sample coffee beans / powder from all over the world. Amazing selection with detailed descriptions to accompany them. Great website and extremely helpful staff. We purchased our Melitta bean to cup machine from here a few years ago. Absolutely no regrets. 👍👍👍 …
Gave them another chance but nothing seems to change.
Heading to third week since my order, still hasn't arrived and zero apologies for something I've paid for. Excuses such as "Royal Mail has been facing problems" which is ridiculous as all my other orders arrive just fine.
One of the poorest customer services I've seen. This was the last time I ordered from them.
Disappointing experience with RedBer.
Have used them for years to buy my coffee with no problems.
Then, one day, I had some really bad (burned, I assume) coffee from them.
Repeatedly called, and was fobbed off with “we will get back to you”.
Emailed a photo. They asked for another. Emailed another. Nobody replied. Called (yet again), and was then sent a template email, asking for more photographs.
Not worth my time. Gonna go elsewhere, to a roastery where customers are valued. A real shame.
Coffee subscription - we recieve a 500g bag of delicious, freshly roasted coffee beans every week. Today's bag has arrived and it was roasted 2 days ago. The coffee is amazing, we get something different every time and never had any issues with delivery. Outstanding.
I ordered a kettle from them and it arrived dirty and chipped. I first contacted them asking for a refund. They took a long time to get back to me without offering a solution. The staff seem clueless and inexperienced. Would strongly advise people not to buy from Redbear as it was an extreme stressful experience. Appalling customer service
